MEMORIAL DAY 2010

We had a beautiful, sunny, HOT Memorial weekend. Perfect for all we had planned. Starting Friday night, we headed to Waterloo for "Fridayloo" for some music and people watching. No pics, sorry.

Saturday was the annual "Fourth Street Cruise" on 4th St. in Waterloo. Here are just a few pics...

Sunday was another hot day but perfect for riding motorcycles. From Waterloo to New Hampton.

Borrowed this pic from Mike & Carrie titled:
"Visiting Great-grandma"

Any time we are in New Hampton, we have to visit "the house" on Hale St., which is the house where Thelma & her siblings grew up. It still makes quite an impact; a huge beautiful white house with wrap around porch.... The present owners welcomed us to sit on the porch "where there's always a breeze" and even took us inside for a look-see. They would love to hear some stories from any of the Otteson family and welcome you all to stop by if you're in town.

A couple of watercolors painted by 2 different individuals.

This is the Tiffany chandelier found in the attic when the house was purchased in 1969.

Last but not least, our wonderful little fella Mikey is soon to be 1 year old on June 24th! Here are some recent pics so you can see what a big boy he has become!
Mikey & his best pal Scout

Grammy couldn't wait to give him his birthday present...he already knows how to get on and off by himself.

Grammy just had to give him a taste of lime.
